Child Found Wandering the Street

Philadelphia Police are trying to reunite a three year-old boy with his parents.

Mark, which is the name the boy gave authorities, was found walking alone on a sidewalk on Bridge Street between Darrah and Lesher Monday morning at 9 a.m.

He also told police that he was from the Frankford section of the city.

He was taken to the hospital for a checkup though police say that he is fine and not suffering from any injuries.

Mark is currently staying with the Department of Human Services. So far no one has called to claim him.

"All we can think of is that maybe a relative was taking care of the child and maybe there was some health issues there and the baby just walked out," said Philadelphia Police lieutenant Ray Evers.

"We're not sure so this is definitely a puzzle."

Mark weighs 38 pounds and stands at 42 inches tall. He has a medium brown complexion and brown, short-cropped hair. He is currently wearing a polo shirt with red, white and blue stripes, dark gray shorts and white and black sneakers.

If you have any information on the location of Mark’s parents, please call 911 or the Special Victim's Unit at 215.685.3251.
