Paterno Out of the Hospital

Penn State’s legendary football coach Joe Paterno was released from the hospital on Tuesday.

Paterno was hospitalized on Sunday after he was blindsided by a player on the practice field.  He hurt his shoulder and hip, but doctors say he doesn’t need surgery.

Paterno is looking forward to Wednesday’s practice.

"It's time for everyone to turn the attention to the team," Paterno said. ""We have a lot of hard work ahead in order to be as good as we think we can be."

The Nittany Lions start their season September 3rd against Indiana State.

This is Paterno's 46th season as head coach.
