Nurses at Jeanes Hospital have overwhelmingly ratified a new, three-year contract with Temple University Health System — one day before their old contract was set to expire.
More than 98 percent of the 300 nurses, members of the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals [PASNAP], voted in favor of the new deal.
The contract includes wage increases of 7 percent to 12 percent over the life of the contract, depending on a nurse's experience.
The nurse-led bargaining committee has been in negotiations with the Jeanes' administration during the past two-plus months.
