A Manchester Township man is dead after he was struck by a car and pinned against a building.
It happened Friday around 9:50 a.m. in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy on 505 County Route 530 in the Whiting section of Manchester Township. Police say Joseph O’Connor, a 73-year-old man who lives in Whiting, was sitting on a bench in front of the CVS. Suddenly, police say, he was struck by a 2012 Subaru Forester wagon driven by a 76-year-old woman.
Investigators say O’Connor was pinned against the building by the vehicle and died from his injuries. The CVS Pharmacy was damaged in the crash and had to be temporarily closed.
Police have not yet revealed whether any charges will be filed. They continue to investigate the accident.
