    We know that many of you will be heading to the Wawa Welcome America festivities in Philadelphia for the Fourth of July. But if you are staying in the 'burbs, here are some of the other community celebrations you can enjoy.



    East Goshen Township’s Community Day Celebration

    Join East Goshen Township in Chester County for the best kickoff to summer party around. Explore the new escape rooms, hear live music from The Walton Marquette Project, and end the night with a spectacular firework show.

    28th Annual Freedom Fest

    Kick off your Fourth of July in Chester County with delicious food provided by various vendors and live music from Angelee and Half Past Seven.

    Where: Nottingham County Park, 150 Park Rd., Nottingham, Pennsylvania

    Southampton Days 48th Annual County Fair

    Celebrate your week of independence at the 48th Annual Southampton Days Country Fair. Enjoy the free concerts at the Lions Grove Bandstand and Midway Stage as well as the free children’s entertainment on the Midway Stage.

    Where: Southampton, Pennsylvania, on the ballfields between Tamanend Park and Klinger Middle School 

    When: July 1 through July 6. Except for July 4, most events are in the evening.

    The big celebration will be on Thursday, July 4, starting with the Sam Costantini Annual 4th of July Parade beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by festivities in the park. The day will conclude with the annual fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

    Lititz Lion’s Club Annual 4th of July Parade and Free Concert 

    The 28th annual parade will begin on North Broad Street near Wilbur Chocolate Museum & Store.

    Where: Downtown Lititz, Pennsylvania at Lititz Springs Park

    When: Wednesday, July 3, at 6:30 p.m.

    Upper Darby Concert and Fireworks 

    The show will feature dance band Chico's Vibe and the Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars. Then, there will be fireworks at 9 p.m.

    Where: 601 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania at Upper Darby High School Memorial Field.

    Rehoboth Beach Independence Day Fireworks

    Get the best seat in the house and relish the firework show from the world-famous Rehoboth shores. The Jolly Trolley is a fun option to get around before and after the show.

    Where: Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

    When: Wednesday, July 3, at 9:30 p.m.

    Annual Berlin Parade 5K

    Where: Starts and ends on the White Horse Pike in front of the Berlin Boro Hall in Berlin, New Jersey. The run will proceed up and over the Berlin/West Berlin bridge to the turn around on Haddon Avenue just before the West Berlin Fire Department. Then, it will follow the parade route toward Berlin Park at the end of Broad Street for the turnaround back to the Boro Hall.

    Norristown Fourth of July Celebration 

    Norristown offers a full day of Fourth of July fun, from performances to lively block parties. Bring your family.


    Where: Starts at St. Francis on Marshall Street and ends on Main Street

    When: 9:45 a.m. (lasts about 45 minutes)

    Block Party

    Where: On Main Street, which will be closed from DeKalb to Arch Street

    When: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    Concert and Fireworks

    Where: 1661 Harding Blvd, Norristown

    When: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the fireworks beginning at dusk.

    Collingswood's Fun on the Fourth

    Collingswood, New Jersey celebrates this year's Independence Day with various festivities. Take a dip in Robert's Pool, enjoy a performance from eight-piece band To The Max or ride around the city and look at all the designs of the homes that have entered the Collingswood House Decorating Contest.

    Fireworks, Festivities and To The Max

    Where: 424 Collings Ave., Collingswood at Collingswood High School Stadium

    When: Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks kick off at 9:15 p.m.

    Annual Fourth of July Bike Parade

    Where: The short ride starts at Haddon and Zane avenues, going down Zane, Park and Browning and ending at Browning and Magill where you will enter the park.

    When: Starts at 10 a.m.

    Fun at Robert’s Pool 

    Where: 215 Hillcrest Ave, Collingswood, at Robert’s Pool

    When: Starts at 2 p.m.

    NOTE: Pool membership or day pass required for admission.

    Proud Neighbors of Collingswood House Decorating Contest 

    Where: Collingswood

    When: The official judging will take place on the morning of Fourth of July and the winner will be announced at the Collingswood fireworks display that evening.

    Moorestown Fourth of July Parade 

    Visit Moorestown, New Jersey and participate in this year's Independence Day parade. This year's theme is "America the Beautiful!"

    Where: The parade forms at Chester and Central avenues from 11 a.m. to noon, when the parade begins. It goes up Chester Avenue to East Main Street, where it will then turn right and head through downtown, ending at Church Street.

    When: Thursday, July 4, at 11 a.m.

    Independence Day Celebration: Living History Day 

    This Independence Day, watch historians demonstrate their crafts, tour the buildings in the Historic Village and visit a historic military encampment.

    Where: 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing Pennsylvania at Washington Crossing Historic Park

    When: Thursday, July 4, from noon to 4 p.m.

    Hockessin Parade and Fireworks

    Gov. John Carney once called it "probably the best parade across the state of Delaware for the Fourth of July.” See for yourself at the Hockessin Parade.


    Where: Old Lancaster Pike from Kenwick Road to Valley Road, Hockessin, Delaware

    When: Thursday, July 4, at 3 p.m. Roads will be closed from 1:45 p.m. to about 4:15 p.m.


    Where: Food trucks will be located in the Hockessin Corner Parking Lot 

    When: Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.


    Where: Can be seen from all over Hockessin, but main viewing area is located at Swift Memorial Park, Piedmont Baseball Fields, Hockessin Library and Artesian Soccer Fields.

    Tredyffrin Township Fireworks 

    Bring the entire family to celebrate the Fourth of July at Wilson Farm Park. Guests can expect music by Chester County Concert Band and at dusk, the firework display begins.

    Where: 500 Lee Road, Wayne, Pennsylvania at Wilson Farm Park

    When: Thursday, July 4. Concert begins at 7 p.m.; fireworks begin at dusk

    Third Annual Pottstown GoFourth! Festival

    Bring the entire family to witness a fireworks extravaganza at this year's Pottstown's GoFourth! Festival. 

    Where: Memorial Park, Pottstown

    When: Thursday, July 4. The festival's opening ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m. and the fireworks finale begins at 9:15 p.m.

    Wilmington’s 4th of July Fireworks

    Celebrate America's independence in historic downtown with the 2019 City of Wilmington 4th of July Fireworks display. Anywhere along the river will be a great place to view the fireworks.

    Where: Wilmington, Delaware on the Riverfront in Downtown Wilmington

    When: Thursday, July 4 at 9:05 p.m.

    NOTE: Due to construction and bulkhead repairs in Riverfront Park and along the North Water Street riverfront, the City of Wilmington will not hold the annual Fourth of July concert or street fair this year.

    Fourth of July Fireworks at University of Delaware

    Enjoy savory food, captivating entertainment and a breath-taking pyrotechnic show. The annual Independence Day celebration draws 18,000 people, while the fireworks are viewed by an estimated 40,000 people in the area.

    Where: 605 S College Ave., Newark, Delaware in the Nelson Athletic Complex

    When: Thursday, July 4, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Rain Date: Friday, July 5, with fireworks only)

    Mount Holly 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks

    Visit Mount Holly's Iron Works Park this Fourth of July weekend for a variety of fun, free, family-friendly activities. Enjoy rides, bounce houses, a trackless train, a glow-in-the-dark hula hoop presentation and more.
