Holocaust Survivor Robbed: Police

A 77-year-old woman was threatened with a hatchet and pepper sprayed

Police say an elderly Holocaust survivor was the target of a home-invasion attack last week in suburban Philadelphia.

Ruth Salzman, 77, was assaulted by two teenagers inside her home in Abington, KYW-TV reports.

Salzman says one teen was armed with a hatchet and she was pepper sprayed several times by the intruders, who made off with three handguns, cash and jewelry.

Salzman tells the station she's ready if the intruders come back. She says she's willing to shoot them and plans to buy a guard dog.

Salzman was born in 1934 in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to the United States when she was 12.
