Police are investigating the shooting death of a man who they say was a known Philadelphia drug dealer.
It happened Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. on the 3900 block of Palmetto Street in the Juniata Park section of the city.
Police say two men wearing hoodies forced their way inside the home of 46-year-old Julio Hernandez. The men stole an unknown amount of narcotics from both his home and car, according to investigators. Police say Hernandez ran out of the back door of his house into a back alley where he was shot multiple times in the head.
Investigators say the suspects fled the scene in a white 4-door vehicle. No word yet on any description of the suspects. Hernandez had surveillance cameras installed in his home, according to police. Authorities plan to review any footage that was taken of the incident as the investigation continues.
