Former Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff is in a pretrial intervention program stemming from a November arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm.
If Huff, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, stays within the parameters of the program, the charges will be dismissed. If Huff does not, he can still face charges and a jail sentence.
On April 4, Huff was accepted into the program, which lasts six months.
Huff, 25, was arrested on Nov. 1 while speeding on the Walt Whitman Bridge. Police found a gun, loaded magazine, under 50 grams of marijuana and hollow-point bullets. Two days later on Nov. 3, Huff was released by the Eagles.
The Buccaneers added Huff to their practice squad on Nov. 7 and promoted him to the 53-man roster in Decemeber ahead of Week 14. Huff appeared in three of Tampa Bay's final four games, making three catches for 41 yards.
