Del. Police Arrest 1 From Gang Street Shootout

Dover police say a suspect is in custody and more suspects are being sought from a street shootout that erupted earlier in the week.

Authorities say 26-year-old Monte C. Jackson has been charged with seven counts of first-degree reckless endangering and four other offenses. Police say he was arrested Friday.

Police say the shootout happened Wednesday evening in the 400 block of Barrister Place, an area that police Lt. Daniel McKeown says is claimed by two gangs.

No one was injured in the shootings but bullets struck at least two parked and empty cars and at least one home that was occupied by adults and children.
