Authorities hope the release of new information will jumpstart an investigation into the brutal beating death of an elderly suburban Philadelphia woman two years ago.
Montgomery County prosecutors are trying to spark the memories of someone who may know something about the January 2010 killing of 86-year-old Mary Pellegrino inside her home in Huntingdon Valley.
District Attorney Risa Ferman tells KYW-AM Pellegrino frequently hired handymen at a Home Depot in Northeast Philadelphia and paid cash for their work. A handyman who did work for Pellegrino found her body.
Police say two diamond rings were missing from her home.
A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case.
