Couple, 69 and 70, Seriously Injured in Robbery

The pair had just pulled their vending trunk into their driveway when the two suspects assaulted them.

A 69-year-old man and 70-year-old woman received severe injuries after being robbed and beaten in the 200 block of Yelkca Avenue in Vineland, N.J. last night.

The two victims, whose identities are currently being withheld, both sustained serious head wounds during an apparent armed robbery.

On Friday night, after the pair pulled into their driveway and got out of their vending truck, they were assaulted by two male subjects wearing dark masks over their faces. The suspects were armed with handguns and hit the victims' heads several times.

The suspects fled the area on foot with an undetermined amount of money. They're described as having dark complexions, and wearing dark clothing and dark colored masks over their faces.

The victims were transported by helicopter to different hospitals and are undergoing treatment.
