Bring Kaos Home: Family Searches for Missing Dog

Holly Walker’s family lost a beloved member over the summer when their beloved dogs got out of the house and ran down the street. One of the dogs, Tux, a border collie-lab mix, came home after a couple hours.

But their other dog, Kaos, a 4-year-old purebred English Lab, never showed up, devastating the entire family.

“It has (turned) our lives upside down,” Holly, a mother of two young boys, told NBC10.

Holly went out searching after the dogs ran off on August 31st,  but had no luck. She said she received a call from a neighbor down the street saying he had detained the dogs in another neighbor’s fenced-in yard, but a construction crew that was working in the yard opened the gate and let the dogs into another gated area so that they would not be in the way.

In a neighbor's surveillance video, Holly said Tux and Kaos could be seen entering the separate gated area, but apparenlty the dogs escaped because soon after that Tux returned home on his own accord. Kaos seemed to vanish without a trace. All of this happened in a matter of hours.

“I don’t know what happened to him, it could be many possibilities,” Holly said. “I just feel someone had to have taken him somewhere because I had such a big search group and we have continually searched for him.”

Holly says her entire family, including Tux, is devastated and just wants Kaos to come home. When she asked her sons to write letters to Santa for Christmas, both boys said all they wanted was Kaos back.

“We’re not going to give up because I know he is out there,” Holly said.

Kaos is a 4-year-old male English Lab. He weighs about 100 pounds and was last seen on Roberts Drive in Galena, Maryland on August 31. There is a $1,000 cash reward for Kaos’ return, no questions asked. If you have any information, please call Holly at 443-386-5936.
