New Jersey's top court won't review a ruling that erased the guilty plea and 10-year prison sentence given to a Pennsylvania convict who took part in a bank robbery while he was supposed to be looking for a job.

The Courier-Post says the Supreme Court's decision means Leon Glaspie could soon be freed.
A three-judge appellate court found the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office violated a rule on "shuttling" prisoners between jurisdictions while it prosecuted Glaspie. The judges said state law requires such cases be dismissed with prejudice, meaning Glaspie couldn't face the charges again.
Glaspie was given a two-hour leave in November 2008 from a Philadelphia halfway house to seek work, but he and another Philadelphia man robbed a bank instead. They were caught and sentenced to prison.
