2 Killed in Bar Shooting

Police say one man and one woman were shot inside the Corral Bar in West Philadelphia

A man came into the bar and fired shots just after 1 a.m. on Friday, police said.

A woman, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troy Wimberley, 38, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

"He was a lovable person, you couldn't ask for a better brother,"  Ronald Wimberley  told NBC10's Tim Furlong.

Both victims were bar patrons, according to police, but they aren't sure if they were targets or if this was a random crime.

"We don't know at this time if they were intended victims or they were caught in the crossfire," according to Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Investigators say they are following a trail of blood leading away from the bar, and aren't sure if there is a third victim or if the suspect was injured.

Police are interviewing witnesses who were inside the bar at the time. The shooter is described as a male in his 30s, heavy-set with a beard, and wearing a striped shirt.
