18-Year-Old Shot During Web Chat: Police

Police are questioning a 22-year-old and his 13-year-old brother about the shooting which took place in their Kensington home.

Philadelphia police are questioning a 22-year-old and his 13-year-old brother in an attempt to sort out the details of an early morning shooting in their Kensington home.

Police say they found an 18-year-old man on the front step of the home on the 1900 block of E. Cumberland Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities tell NBC10 that all three males were in the front room of the home using a webcam to chat when the 18-year-old was shot in the head with a 9 millimeter handgun.

The 22-year-old and his younger brother are in custody being questioning. Their mom is there with them.

Police are working to determine whether the shooting was an accident, intentional or if the 18-year-old shot himself. They are also wondering if the person on the other end of the web chat witnessed the shooting.

The victim is in extremely critical condition at Temple University Hospital, according to investigators.
