Dear Harry: We have a dilemma regarding our son who is away at school at Penn State. He needs a credit or debit card to make his life easier than his using cash or checks. We have been considering getting him a debit card, which is being offered to students through his bank. After we inquired about this, the bank sent us a bunch of literature promoting a "prepaid" debit card. The material is so darned confusing that we thought it best to get your opinion before making a commitment. Help!
