Dear Harry: I lost my checkbook about a week ago. I always have a small checkbook and my credit cards with me when I shop. I must have lost it while making out a check in the various places I was shopping. I called my bank and they advised me not to worry because the bank will catch any forgeries, and if they don't, the bank is responsible to recognize my signature. Is this so? Should I close the account?
