Teamsters Aim to Organize Corrections, Law Enforcement Officers

The Teamsters union is looking to organize law enforcement and correctional officers in Pennsylvania.

The organization announced the formation of the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement and Correctional Officers Association. The association will represent more than 2,000 law enforcement officers (police, correctional officers etc.) working in more than 100 Pennsylvania borough and county departments.

"Our police and correctional officers put their lives on the line every day and they deserve strong representation on the job," said Bill Hamilton, president of the Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters. Read more about this story at PBJ.com
