U2 Cancels July Philly Show

North American tour put on hold until 2011

Bono, the Edge and the rest of U2 won’t be making their way to Philadelphia in 2010 as originally planned.

North American summer dates for U2’s 360 Tour were called off Tuesday due to Bono’s recent back surgery, according to U2.com.

“Although we understand the disappointment to U2 fans, first and foremost comes the recovery of Bono,” said U2 tour producer/promoter Arthur Fogel, CEO of Live Nation Global Touring.

Fans were encouraged to hold onto their tickets because the Linc show would be rescheduled for some time in 2011.
