Cindy Williams, best known for her role as Shirley on the classic TV series “Laverne & Shirley”, will join Laugh-In star, JoAnne Worley in a female adaption of the Odd Couple on the Jersey Shore. The play,which is being presented by LBI’s Surflight Theater, runs through August 21, and tickets are still available. Prices for the performance range from $49-$89.
The Odd Couple play is based on Neil Simon's comedy-centered mismatched roommates, Oscar Madison and Felix Ungar, but this play is little different.
It, instead, centers around Florence Ungar and Olive Madison, but instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. As you’d expect the hilarity remains the same, according to the Surflight’s website.
