That Guy: Kevin Ngo

This week's That Guy Profile is Kevin Ngo.

This week's Profile is Kevin Ngo of Philadelphia, PA. Philly Fashion guru Sabir Peele tells us why Kevin is this week's That Guy.

What I like about this look?

Kevin really puts on a summer wedding, style clinic with this ensemble. Summer weddings are typically not as stuffy and restrictive, unless it's a black-tie event, as most weddings. Right away, his choice of tie and pocket square combination is eye catching. Smartly, he decided to complement his tie and pocket square by selecting the same color family, but, not the same exact color. Since he opted to rock white chinos, it was a great idea to ground this look with a navy blazer. Also, when in doubt on footwear, brown leather Oxfords will never lead you wrong with white chinos.

Where could this outfit be worn?

The obvious choice of places to wear this look would be a spring or summer wedding. It's okay for the really stylish guy in the room that embraces the elements of the season, by going sockless and wearing white pants. With some tweaking, this look would be great for the office or for a formal dinner.

Where can you buy this particular look?

Starting with the blue blazer, to keep prices in a manageable range, check out brands like, Uniqlo, Zara and Joe Fresh. Those particular brands really have honed in on the modern fit and style of today's guy. A wedding is the perfect time to pull out a nice silk tie. Ralph Lauren, and Andrews Ties in Philadelphia are all great places to look for silk ties. White chinos should become a mainstay in your wardrobe. Bonobos, J.Crew and Asos are some places that stand out that seem to always carry white chinos for men.

Style Tip?

He executed this look very well. For the style novice, notice that his choice in shirt color for this outfit is "corporate blue". There is no real need to style this look with a white shirt because he already had on white pants. To keep the look formal, keep your shoes and belt in the same chestnut brown leather family. If you want to adapt this look to day out, switch out the dress shoes for navy blue or white boat shoes. Swap out that the solid blue shirt for one with a pattern (i.e., checked or gingham) and ditch the tie, but, throw in a white pocket square.
