No extreme weather is expected this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The average high is about 50 degrees and our average low is in the mid-30s this time of year -- our weather has been anything but average during the past few weeks. From near record warmth to a cold blast that came with a good bit of snow for part of the area, it seems like we have gone from one extreme to another.
That will not be the case over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. There are no major storms on the horizon -- for the weekend at least -- and temperatures will try to climb into the 50s by Friday and Saturday. After unseasonably cold weather this seems mild despite it being right near average for this time of year.
Thanksgiving will start out with a morning chill for early football games but will warm up with sunshine and just a few clouds.
Friday will be even warmer with temperatures climbing into the 50s after a chilly start. Be prepared however for a chilly morning Friday if your out early for all the door buster sales.
The actual weekend will have increasing clouds but should stay dry. The only chance for rain would be late Sunday evening.
