Light snow fell across the northern suburbs and center city Philadelphia Saturday evening, but a new weather factor moves into the area Sunday.

Weather may have been a factor in a crash that sent two police officers to the hospital Saturday night in Berks County.

The incident happened at Route 662 just north of Route 562 in Oley Township.  The officers were responding to an emergency call when their SUV slid on ice and flipped over.  Both officers were transported to Reading Hospital.  There was no immediate word on their conditions.

Snow was expected to end by Sunday morning, but a cold wind has developed. Wind gusts near 40 mph are possible with temperatures not able to make it above 40 degrees.

There will be warmer air returning by the middle of the week but that will come with some rain. Rain could be heavy at times and may end as some snow as temperatures drop again by Thursday.
