What You're Doing Tonight 6/7

BIKE IN MANAYUNK: We know this is called β€œWhat You’re Doing Tonight,” but we’re going to make an exception for the 25th annual Manayunk Bike Race today (plus after the race you can drink well into the night). Bars all over Philadelphia are having drink specials and live music including Mad River, Bourbon Blue and Manayunk Brew Pub. So go tailgate for the race, walk around and find your own fun. The race starts at 9 a.m.

PHUN WITH PHISH: If the Bike Race isn’t your thing, go take a swim at the Susquehanna Bank Center with Phish. The legendary jam band will take the stage and start the jive at 7 p.m. Tickets are $51.50 and can be bought at the Live Nation Web site.

COMPETITIVE COFFEE: Grab a cup of coffee and maybe change the life of a young artist at the same time. MilkBoy Coffee in Ardmore is holding the Philadelphia Songwriters Project 2009 finals competition. The winners will get a unique opportunity to perform at The Kimmel Center, The Bethlehem Music Festival and The Philadelphia Folk Festival. The audience will choose six of the twelve competitors to play at these prestigious venues. Tickets are $10. Call 610.645.5269 for more details.
