Pa. Judge Run Down by Road Raging Driver

WEST READING, Pa. (AP) -- Police say a Pennsylvania judge has leg, foot and back injuries after being struck by a van in a road rage incident.

Police in West Reading say Berks County Common Pleas Judge Stephen Lieberman had just driven out of a gas station parking lot Wednesday when a driver in a van began yelling, gesturing and blowing his horn at him.

The judge stopped and while he was on his cell phone with 911 officials, the van driver pinned him between the van and the judge's sport utility vehicle.

Lieberman was taken to Reading Hospital in fair condition.

Police say they have charged a 21-year-old Kutztown man with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses. His name was not immediately released.
