In a world where cultural stereotypes permeate already volatile relations between the West and the Middle East, perhaps a little understanding wouldn’t hurt.
Enter the Islamic Heritage Festival, set to open for the day at Penn’s Landing Saturday, June 19.
The one-day event, put on by the Islamic Cultural Preservation and Information Council, will begin at 2 p.m. and festival promises to acquaint guests with various facets of the Muslim world, such as history, medicine, music, food, and arts and crafts, through an array of vendors.
