It's baaaaack! Or it will be by Friday -- that pesky heat that just won't leave us alone.
An Excessive Heat Watch is already in effect beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday afternoon, although it's pretty likely that it will become a warning sometime tomorrow.
After the comfortable weather yesterday and today, you'll beging to notice the temperatures getting a little warmer Thursday. The good news is, the humidity will remain low and despite the predicted high of 90 degrees, the heat index will not be much higher than that.
Humidity increases Friday along with the temperature, so the heat index will climb above 100 in the afternoon. More of the same on Saturday and Sunday afternoon with highs in the upper 90s.
Remember to keep cool during the hottest part of the day. Wear light loose fitting clothing and stay hydrated especially if you are working outdoors.
