Drexel head basketball coach Bruiser Flint will miss Monday's game against the Memphis Tigers to serve a one-game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct during Drexel's loss to Bucknell on Saturday.
Flint was assessed two technical fouls and ejected in the waning seconds of the Dragons 81-75 defeat to the Bisons.
The suspension was given out by the Colonial Athletic Association even though Flint's outburst occurred in a non-conference game.
According to Philly.com:
"I was trying to get a technical, but I wasn't trying to get tossed," Flint said from Memphis,Tenn. Sunday night. "But it wasn't like I didn't deserve it."
Flint will miss the game against his mentor John Calipari and the No. 23 Memphis Tigers. Flint was an assistant under Calipari at UMass in the 1990s.
