A winter storm warning is in effect for Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties until Midnight.
Snow will continue across the Lehigh Valley and possibly mix with sleet or even change to rain. The temperature has and will remain at or below freezing so even if there is sleet or rain, it will continue to accumulate or freeze on surfaces.
As of 3:30 p.m. snow totals 2 to 4 inches have been recorded in the Lehigh Valley and up to six inches have fallen in the Poconos.
A little further south rain will become heavy at times with the temperatures above freezing. The rain may mix with sleet and there could be some slippery roads with patchy areas of ice.
People in Philadelphia and points south can expect rain that will be heavy at times with wet roads.
Tonight the rain/sleet/snow will come to an end.
As cold air wraps around the storm the snow area across the Lehigh Valley may move south a bit across upper Montgomery, upper Bucks and Chester counties. Even though there is not enough snow for a warning, a winter weather advisory remains in effect in those areas.
Farther south the rain will end and it will remain cloudy and cold.
