Raw Talent, Inc., the agency that represented Frankel, filed a claim in Los Angeles Superior Court in May stating that they were owed $12 million in unpaid commissions and were also seeking up to $100 million in punitive damages.
Raw Talent claimed its co-president Doug Wald met "The Real Housewives of New York" star in May of 2008 and helped transition Frankel from a reality television personality into the face of the Skinnygirl cocktail empire. The Los Angeles-based talent management company says that Frankel fired Wald in November of 2008, days before signing her deal to develop the Skinnygirl brand. Frankel went on to sell the company for a reported $100+ million.
Allegedly, Frankel refused to pay any percentage of her Skinnygirl earnings to the management company, which it claimed was a violation of her original representation contract.
Bethenny Frankel On Her Sex Drive
It's been a busy week for Frankel. Her talk show "Bethenny" premiered on the Fox network and featured guests included Ellen DeGeneres, Kate Walsh, Mario Lopez and Vanessa Williams. On the show Frankel, 41, addressed persistent rumors about the state of her marriage to Jason Hoppy, denying media reports that she is getting divorced.
The reality star turned product mogul also made headlines this week when she revealed to Glamour that she blamed herself for the miscarriage of her second child.
Terms of the settlement with Raw Talent are not being made public.
