    NBC10 anchor Jim Rosenfield.

Jim Rosenfield is an anchor for NBC10 News. You can watch him weekdays at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Jim is passionate about sharing local news with viewers, as well as traveling wherever important stories happen, to report on how they impact people in the Delaware Valley.

One of his most memorable assignments during his time at NBC10 took him to Buenos Aires, Argentina to gather stories for a special half-hour broadcast called, “The People’s Pope.” Jim visited Pope Francis’ homeland to speak with childhood friends, former colleagues, and others about the man known there as Father Jorge Bergoglio. Jim and his team’s work on the special was nominated for an Emmy.

“It was really a highlight for me to have the opportunity to travel to Argentina and learn more about the man myself. I was proud to be a part of a special that gave viewers an inside look at Pope Francis’s early life in Argentina in preparation for his historic visit to Philadelphia,” said Jim.

Jim has also reported from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, the Middle East during the conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza, and was the only local anchor to report live from Paris within 24 hours of the terror attacks there in November, 2015.

Jim is a five-time Emmy Award winner, including for “Best Anchor” in our region. He has also been honored with the first Mychal Judge Award from the New York Press Club for his coverage of the aftermath of the 9/11 terror attacks.

Jim has spent more than 30 years in broadcast journalism. Prior to being an anchor for NBC10, Jim worked at television stations in Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago and Houston.

Jim attended Duke University, where he earned a B.A. in English. He got his start while still a student at Duke, as a reporter for WTVD in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

When Jim is not on the news, he enjoys time with his family, travel, photography and tennis. He is an avid dog lover, and even occasionally brings his own Golden Retriever, Finn, to work with him.
