Showers continue to move through overnight but will clear Thursday morning. NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Sheena Parveen has the details as well as the Halloween weekend forecast. (Published Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015)

Heavy rain moved through the region Wednesday evening and will continue into Thursday morning.

After showers throughout the day there was a dry slot during rush hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The rain then returned with the heaviest falling in Delaware, the Western suburbs and the Lehigh Valley.

Heavier rounds of rain hit the Philadelphia area around 9 p.m. The wet weather should continue overnight before clearing out by the morning commute.

When it’s all said and done, expect a widespread 1-2” of rain with some wetter spots. The Shore looks to miss out on much of the heavy rain, but they will still get up to an inch.

The roads will still be slick in the morning but the rain should finish falling before 7 a.m.
