Winds will diminish Monday night, but there will be another cold day in store for Tuesday.

Now that the ice has gone away and the rain is moving out, it's time to concentrate on the wind and cold about to hit the area.

Winds will be 20-30 mph Thursday, but temperatures will be close to average.

The wind will, of course, make it feel much colder. Another arctic blast is due Sunday after a weak weather system that could bring some light rain or snow to the area Saturday.

Temperatures Sunday will barely get above freezing, and with the wind, it will feel like the low 20s at best.

But that's nothing compared to the big blast coming next week.

After another weak system Monday that could bring some light snow, air originating near the North Pole will move in.

The coldest day in the seven-day forecast is next Wednesday, when the temperature may barely get above 20 degrees.

Wind chills are likely to go below zero during this cold blast, and at least one night may feature a low temperature in the single digits.

  • Anonymous Sunday, Jan 11 at 11:50 AM FLAG COMMENT You are a joke when it comes to forecasting the weather. All the money you make doing what you do is a crime. Do something you could acually get right for a living. I will just look out my window for what is really happening as aposed to what is guessed at by you.

  • Ron L Thursday, Jan 8 at 11:56 AM FLAG COMMENT Please do not listen to Hurricane the Idiot. He said we would get nothing more than a light wintry mix on Saturday as of this morning. Well, in a new article on NBC10 he just put out, he is now saying we could get up to 4 inches of snow. He's an idiot and the fact that NBC10 has stuck with him this long is ridiculous. Read my previous comments before yours Chuck......I believe we will get between 5 to 7 inches. There will not ... MORE >
  • Chuck Thursday, Jan 8 at 11:28 AM FLAG COMMENT When will we see snow in South jersey. I was encouraged by Glenn's winter report that we would get snow this winter. Where is it?
  • tmd Thursday, Jan 8 at 9:42 AM FLAG COMMENT Where is the snow predicted for this winter? I am waiting for an old-fashioned snow storm where I can go outdoors and build a snow man!
