An apparent joyride in a stolen vehicle left a man hurt and police searching for a hit-and-run driver.

Philadelphia Police responded to the intersection of N Swanson Street and E Somerset Street in the city’s Kensington neighborhood around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police found an adult male suffering from injuries consistent to being hit by a car. The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police officers found the car a short distance away but the driver was nowhere in sight, according to accident investigators.

Police ran the plates of the car and discovered it was stolen, according to investigators. Police didn't say from where the car was stolen.

Investigators didn’t give any description of either the vehicle or a possible suspect.
