What You're Doing Tonight, 4/30

Get a life, get smart, and get in fashion. You can do all of those things tonight in Philadelphia.

GET A LIFE: Go out to one of the 200 local restaurants that is participating in todayโ€™s one-day AIDS/HIV fundraiser called โ€œDining Out for Life.โ€  Participating restaurants will donate 33 percent of their daily proceeds to local AIDS agencies. Mayor Nutter will be hosting the 2009 ceremony and award presentation at Parc French Brasserie on Rittenhouse Square at 6:30 p.m.

GET IN FASHION: Donโ€™t miss the annual fashion show by Philadelphia University students at the Academy of Music tonight at 7:30 p.m. Itโ€™s the largest fashion event in the Philadelphia area and this yearโ€™s theme is โ€œFashion Fantasy.โ€ Join the audience of 2,300 to see the newest designs and creativity of future fashion stars.

GET SMART: After your dinner and you fashion show, head to The Bards on 20th and Walnut streets for a 10 p.m. Quizzo competition, hosted by (quite possibly) Phillyโ€™s most prolific Quizzo Masters: Johnny Goodtimes. Starting next Thursday, Johnny will be hosting a brand new quizzo Thursday nights at The Ugly American at Front and Federal.
