The party won't stop on Independence Day this year.

July 5 is actually the day our country’s independence is observed this year meaning most people have off -- it’s the national holiday. So why not keep the celebration going with a few more patriotic activities?

Reminisce on how we got our independence by attending a live reading of the Declaration at the Independence Visitor Center. Hang around for a piece of birthday cake. (Then head down to Old City for a drink just like the Founding Father's did.)

If ice cream’s more your thing, head over to Penn’s Landing for the last day of the Super Scooper All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Festival. Donate $5 to help the fight against pediatric leukemia and have all the ice cream you can handle, as well as music and games.

Hang out at Franklin Square for family friendly activities -- mini golf, a carousel and stories about America.

The Art Museum, Franklin Institute, Please Touch Museum and the Zoo will all be open on the Fifth, so there are plenty of things to do. Catch the Renoir exhibit at the Art Museum or learn about Cleopatra at the Franklin Institute.

The Phillies battle the Atlanta Braves at 7 p.m. Monday. What better way to end America's birthday weekend than by watching the country’s favorite pastime?

It’s also another day to relax at the shore if you decided to spend your weekend on the beach. So have a good time, rest and soak up some sun.
