Join the Positive Pro-test

Philly-based filmmakers to answer the question that has always puzzled mankind

After Chick-fil-A boycotts, marches against gun-violence and anti-government demonstrations, another protest is set to hit the streets of Philadelphia.

Now, this protest is not meant to promote opposition, but it is a PRO-test to tell the world Life is Awesome.

Philadelphia native, Mark Erlbaum, is orchestrating the "Life is Awesome Positive Pro-test" at noon on Wednesday at Rittenhouse Square. The first positive PRO-test was held at Love Park.

The protest is part of a campaign that Erlbaum first came up with after researching crowd-funding sites for his soundtrack release of his upcoming film.

Erlbaum woke up early one morning with an ambitious idea to raise a million dollars on the crowd-funding site, Indiegogo, to find the answer to the question, β€œWhat’s the meaning of life?”

Erlbaum, along with the rest of Nationlight Productions (located in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), are a group of filmmakers who are passionate about changing the world through positive media. Their resume includes feature films such as CafΓ© (starring Jennifer Love Hewitt), Everything Must Go (starring Will Ferrell), and A Buddy Story (starring Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss).

The end result of this project will not be a feature film, but an ongoing, interactive online community that will impact and motivate people on a daily basis.

β€œThe point of this campaign is not to promote any specific creed or theory, but rather to create a web-network at www.lifemeanswhat.com where a team of artists and leaders will produce and curate amazing short web content that will explore meaning and purpose in life from a diverse array of perspectives,” according to their website.

With just over $127,000 raised on Indiegogo, the campaign needs to reach its first goal of $150,000 by 11:59 p.m. EST on August 16 to continue onto the next phase of their project.
