The John Lennon Tour Bus gave kids the opportunity to experience music technology.

Who would of thought that anti-mainstream, make-up wearing, garage rockers and pop culture mop heads could ever unite for a good cause? It happened when The Warped Tour and John Lennon Tour Bus invaded Camden, N.J. on Friday.

The Lennon Tour Bus was a non-profit venture. That encouraged kids to play music, write songs, engineer recording sessions and produce video projects.

The Warped Tour of course is the annual punk-rock traveling concert where dozens of bands come together to sing for their mosh-pit-loving fans.

But no punker could ignore the benefits of a charity, even if the charity's namesake was a pop rocker.

The bus will worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Camden. Pre-selected students had the opportunity to write and record their own music or make a video of the Warped Tour and its causes.

This was a once and a lifetime experience for these kids. They got a tour of the bus, tried out state of the art music and video production equipment and worked in one of the premiere studios in the entire country.

The non-profit can survive and thrive thanks to local partners and sponsors. The Bus partnered with Digital Media Academy., which will offer courses in everything that is on the bus to people of all ages at the University of Pennsylvania from now until August 14, according to reports.

So thanks to the Warped Tour and Lennon Tour Bus for putting aside musical tastes to encourage kids to stay creative and participate in music programs.
