Here She Is, Miss Philade... Wait, She's From Maryland?

Congrats must go to Ryann Richardson -- the 19 year-old Philadelphia University sophomore was crowned Miss Philadelphia last weekend.

The beauty queen will now represent our city in the 2009 Miss Pennsylvania competition with a shot at making the Miss America competition on the line.

But, one thing about Richardson has raised some concerns about her qualifications as Miss Philadelphia.

She's from Maryland.

Sorry to ruin the fairytale, but the pretty face crowned Miss Philadelphia isn't even a Philadelphian.

Richardson grew up in Maryland and only came to Philly for college, reported Philly.com.

Not to knock Richardson. She is a qualified beauty queen for sure -- a beautiful woman working to earn her degree in fashion-industry management.

But, she still isn't a hometown product.

Ouch, what does this say for the fine-looking single ladies of our city?
