One Year of Firsts: Organize the Pantry

Day 98

You don't get anything clean without getting something else dirty. ~Cecil Baxter

I have to admit my pantry has always been a disorganized mess.  I have at times tried to put soup cans together and cereal boxes somewhere near each other, but generally there's never been any order to it.

I've been eyeing my pantry for awhile, knowing it must be attacked, straightened and organized. I just didn't have the will to do it until tonight.  For some reason today  I was a possessed mad woman on a mission.

Here's the before video:

I can't tell you how many bags of dried up dried fruit I found.  Suntan lotion?  Empty boxes. Five different half boxes of pasta. Old flashlights.  And a pair of old dirty tennis shoes.  I'm not lying. I filled a half dozen  kitchen trash bags.

Here is the new improved organized pantry. Da ta!

All paper products on one shelf. All teas and coffees together. Oils and vinegars visible. AND I have room for more.  Much better.  I guess the trick now is to keep it organized.

Very satisfied with this first.
