Officers Find Heroin, Crack Cocaine in New Jersey Woman's Vacuum Cleaner: Police

A North Jersey woman hid heroin and crack cocaine in a vacuum cleaner in her living room and crack in a bedroom laundry hamper, said authorities.

The Record reported that 53-year-old Carolyn Mendez-Molder, of Bloomfield, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with multiple drug charges.

She was ordered held at Essex County Jail on $300,000 bail. It wasn't immediately known if she had an attorney.

Bloomfield police said that they found 499 glassine envelopes of heroin and 150 vials of crack cocaine in a vacuum cleaner in her living room. They say they also found 30 vials of crack cocaine in a bedroom laundry hamper and a bag of marijuana and drug processing and packaging materials in a kitchen cabinet.

They say she was arrested as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
