Pa. Buggy Driver Falls Asleep, Collides With School Bus: Cops

Teen buggy driver falls asleep at the reins

Pennsylvania State Police say the 15-year-old driver of a horse and buggy fell asleep at the reins and collided with a school bus.

Troopers say the driver of the bus tried to pass the buggy Tuesday morning in East Drumore Township, Lancaster County, when the horse went into the other lane and hit the bus.

The teen suffered minor injuries and was cited for careless driving. No one else was hurt.

Authorities say the only occupant of the school bus was the driver.

Police did not release the names of either driver.
