Place Your Bets: Eagles' Odds Improve; Carson Wentz Favorite for Rookie of Year

It was just one game, but it changed the Eagles' odds a lot in Vegas.

After the Eagles' 29-10 win over the Browns in the season opener, their odds to win the division, NFC and Super Bowl have all become shorter, according to Bovada

• The Eagles' odds to win the Super Bowl went from 75/1 to 66/1 — 19 teams still have shorter odds. The Patriots are the favorites at 13/2, followed by the Packers (7/1),  Steelers (15/2) and Seahawks (17/2).

• The Eagles' odds to win the NFC went from 33/1 to 28/1 — eight teams still have shorter odds.

• The Eagles' odds to win the NFC East went from 6/1 to 7/2 — the Cowboys (3/1) and Giants (7/5) still have shorter odds.

The reason for movement isn't hard to find: it's Carson Wentz. The rookie quarterback had an impressive NFL debut, completing 22 of 37 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

• The debut was impressive enough to make Wentz the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at 5/2.

As of May 4, when Wentz was scheduled to have a redshirt season, he was off the board. In four months, Wentz went from off the board to the favorite.

• In the Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, Wentz is followed by Ezekiel Elliot (3/1), Will Fuller (5/1) and Sterling Sheppard (7/1).

• Wentz also improved his MVP odds from 300/1 to 100/1.
