Bulldog Blog: Flyered Up at Lower Merion

High school blogger Brady McHale brings the inside story from Lower Merion High School.

Thereโ€™s a lot heating up around town this week, everything from the temperature in the air to the self-diagnosed Flyers fever (not to mention no air at school). And students have caught both of them at Lower Merion.

As many kids gear up to hit the beaches for their extended Memorial Day Weekend, they also look to be celebrating some Flyers Stanley Cup action while soaking up the rays.

Orange and black have lit up the hallways at school, and not only for the students. Some teachers have ditched their shirt and ties and put on their favorite Fly Guys uniform too.

English teacher Will Williams who doubles as die-hard hockey fan and Lower Merionโ€™s hockey coach gave me his prediction. โ€œTheyโ€™ll split in Chicago and Philadelphia making it 2-2 back to Chicago. Game 7 will be won by the Flyers during regulation and Mike Richards gets MVP.โ€

Sounds good to you, right?

Well have to wait and see what the Flyers will do but kids know one thing for sure: Memorial Day means school being over is just around the corner!
