Woman Arrested in Claymont Motel Murder

Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington woman after she allegedly killed a man inside a Claymont motel.

Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington woman after she allegedly killed a man inside a Claymont motel.

On Monday around 10:30 a.m., State Police were called to the Riverview Motel on the 7800 block of Governor Printz Boulevard in Claymont. When they arrived, a motel employee told them he went inside a room and found a man unresponsive on the floor. Investigators say he suffered an unknown wound to his upper body.

Police say they identified the victim as Theodore Tucker, 52, of Wilmington. While searching his motel room, detectives say they discovered the personal items of Sherry Jackson, 48, of Wilmington. They also say they found the possible weapon used in Tucker’s murder.

Investigators searched for Jackson and were able to find her on the 500 block of West 6th Street in Wilmington. She was arrested and taken into custody without incident. She is charged with first degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission and other related offenses.
She was arraigned and committed to the Delores Baylor Correctional Institute without bail.
