Woman Accused of Chasing 10-Year-Old Child While Armed With Knife

A woman was arrested after she allegedly chased a young child while armed with a knife.

Virgina Bushman, 33, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, is charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, endangering the welfare of a child and other related offenses.

On Jan. 15 police received a report from McDonald Elementary School in Warminster of a possible assault on a 10-year-old child.

Investigators later determined Bushman had chased the 10-year-old child with a knife. The child was not seriously hurt during the ordeal.  Officials have not yet revealed what led to the incident but say Bushman and the child are relatives.

While McDonald Elementary reported the incident, the alleged attack did not take place at the school, according to police. Instead it took place inside a private home in Warminster Township, police said.

Bushman was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail. A court date has not been set.
