Wife, Husband, Dogs Found Dead in Bed

Police believe a New Jersey wife may have killed her husband and two dogs before turning the gun on herself.

The bodies of a husband, wife and their dogs were discovered dead, in their bed, on Wednesday night.

Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide in Laurel Lake, New Jersey.

The bodies of Scott Rector, 30, his wife Stacy, 28, and their two dogs were discovered in a bed in their Samuel Drive trailer on Wednesday night, according to New Jersey State Police.

Authorities say a co-worker went to check on Scott after he didn't show up to work for a few days and that's when he found the dead family.

All of the victims were shot to death, investigators said in a press release.

A suicide note was left behind by Stacy, which leads police to believe the woman killed her husband and dogs before turning the gun on herself, according to the release.

Police are waiting on autopsies before officially announcing their final determinations.

The weapon, a semi-automatic handgun, was also found at the scene.
