Early Sunday afternoon, an 18-year-old was shot in Atlantic City, NJ.
Around 1:15 p.m., police responded to a shooting along South Florida Avenue. When they got there, the officers had to clear a crowd of people gathered around a teen, himself an A.C. native, who had been shot and was unconscious on the ground.
They immediately had the victim rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Facility in Atlantic City. He is currently in critical condition.
After an investigation at the scene, officials learned from witnesses that a young, African-American male approached the victim and opened fire. The suspect than took off, running southbound toward Pacific Avenue.
