Stabbing at Party in Philadelphia Leaves Man, 21, Critically Injured

A 21-year-old man was fighting for his life Sunday morning after police say he was stabbed overnight during a party at a lounge in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

Police said they were called to the Moonlight Cuisine Restaurant and Lounge, on Limekiln Pike near 69th Avenue, just before 3:30 a.m. and found the young man suffering from two stab wounds to the chest.

The victim was on the dance floor inside the lounge at a private party when he was stabbed, police said.

Witnesses identified a suspect, and police continued to search for that person Sunday morning. The victim was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.

Police said the lounge was supposed to be closed at 2 a.m., and they were investigating why it was still open after 3 a.m.
