93-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed by SEPTA Bus in Glenside

An elderly man died from his injuries after he was struck by a SEPTA bus in Glenside Saturday afternoon.

Police say Edward Hill Sr., 93, of Glenside, was walking across Limekiln Pike at the crosswalk shortly after 1 p.m. As he was walking, a SEPTA bus traveling along Glenside Avenue turned left onto Limekiln Pike, officials said.

Hill was struck by the bus and pinned underneath the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver immediately stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Officials say no passengers were on board the bus at the time.
